This summer, Theatre Out Reach On Stage will present Seussical on stage at the Capitol Centre from August 8th through 12th. Seussical features 80 students who bring to life the beloved characters of Dr. Seuss in a vibrant performance of singing, dancing, and acting. Join the Cat in the Hat and his two Thinks as they introduce us to Horton, a caring elephant in the Jungle of Nool who finds an entire society called Whoville living quietly upon a small speck of dust. Unfortunately for Horton – not to mention Jojo, who lives in Whoville – the inhabitants of the Jungle of Nool are skeptical of Horton’s discovery. Eventually, Whoville is ripped from Horton’s prospective grasp and a wild chase ensues! As the story unfolds, adults will marvel at the subtle themes, profound messages, and clever plotlines of Seussical, while children will love the colourful costumes, animated singing and dancing, and hilarious acting. With a delightful gumbo of musical styles ranging from Latin to Pop, Swing to Gospel, and R&B to Funk, Seussical is first-class entertainment for all ages. Oh the thinks you can think!
